Z przyjemnością zapraszamy do udziału w pierwszym w Polsce kursie icemasterskim World Curling Academy Ice Technician Course.
Zapraszamy wszystkie osoby odpowiedzialne za przygotowanie lodu w klubach, ale także osoby, które dopiero planują rozpoczęcie takiej działalności. Zapraszamy także czynnych zawodników, którzy informacje zdobyte podczas kursu mogą pomóc w lepszym zrozumieniu procesów zachodzących na lodzie w trakcie meczu.
Warunkiem udziału w kursie jest ukończenie do 10 sierpnia kursu online Introduction to Maintaining Curling Ice (worldcurlingacademy.org, cena 99 USD).
Kurs odbędzie się w Giżycku w dniach 23-24 sierpnia br. podczas przygotowań do Mazury Curling Festival, pod warunkiem zgłoszenia na dany termin minimum 8 osób. Prosimy o zgłoszenia na adres pfkc@pfkc.pl. Koszt udziału w kursie to 1000 zł (240 euro) od osoby. Istnieje możliwość dofinansowania udziału w kursie pod warunkiem odpracowania podczas zawodów PFKC w sezonie 2024/2025.
Dla chętnych rekomendujemy zakwaterowanie podczas kursu w ośrodku AZS w Wilkasach.
Kurs poprowadzi osobiście Mark Callan – Development Officer and Head of Ice Services World Curling, naczelny icemaster trzech igrzysk olimpijskich i niezliczonej ilości imprez rangi mistrzostw świata. Powiedzieć legenda – to nic nie powiedzieć😊.
Kurs ma na celu przekazanie podstawowej wiedzy na temat konserwacji lodu do curlingu. Tematy obejmują zrozumienie sprzętu i jego konserwacji, podstawy chłodnictwa, systemów powietrznych, osuszania i jakości wody, techniki peblowania i ścinania lodu oraz praktyczną wiedzę na temat kamieni curlingowych. Kurs zostanie zakończony egzaminem/oceną osobistą, uczestnicy otrzymają certyfikat World Curling Academy Level 1 Ice Technician i zostaną wpisani do bazy certyfikowanych ice technicians WCF.
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the World Curling Academy’s first Ice Technician Course.
We want to invite all people who are responsible for ice preparation in clubs, but also those who are just planning to start new activity. We also invite active players, who can use the information gained during the course to better understand the processes taking place on the ice during the game.
A condition for participation in the course is completion of the online course Introduction to Maintaining Curling Ice (worldcurlingacademy.org, price $99) by August 10.
The course will be held in Gizycko, Poland, on August 23-24th this year during the preparations for the Mazury Curling Festival, provided a minimum of 8 people register. Please apply at pfkc@pfkc.pl. The cost of participation in the course is PLN 1000 (240 euro) per person. It is possible to subsidize the participation in the course, provided you work off during the PFKC competitions in the 2024/2025 season.
We recommend accommodation during the course at the AZS resort in Wilkasy.
The course will be personally conducted by Mark Callan – Development Officer and Head of Ice Services World Curling, chief ice master of three Olympic Games and countless world championship events.
The course is designed to provide basic knowledge of curling ice maintenance. Topics include an understanding of equipment and its maintenance, basics of refrigeration, air systems, dehumidification and water quality, pebbling and ice shearing techniques, and practical knowledge of curling stones. The course will conclude with an exam/personal assessment, participants will receive a World Curling Academy Level 1 Ice Technician certificate and will be listed in the WCF’s database of certified ice technicians.
